Live payments open after the operator has supplied its legal identity, support contact, provider connections, and approved operating terms. These rules describe the product’s current behaviour; final legal terms must be reviewed before a paid launch.
How attribution works
A new customer applies one active partner code during signup or within 24 hours of account creation. The first accepted partner attribution is permanent. The referral window lasts 12 months from account creation, using the booking request’s date. Existing accounts, self-referrals and duplicate accounts created to claim rewards are excluded. Under the current network policy, a referred customer may rent the referring business’s own inventory or another owner’s inventory. Earlier payments retain their original eligibility rules.
What earns a reward
A reward is 20% of Rentloop’s actual net rental commission on an eligible completed, paid rental, using the owner rate saved with that reservation, after Rentloop-funded customer referral credits and rental-refund adjustments. It excludes delivery, tax, deposits, and signup alone. At the standard 15% owner rate, a $100 eligible rental creates a $15 platform commission and a $3.00 partner reward. An agreed lower owner rate produces a lower reward. A zero-commission reservation generates no referral reward. New eligible payments follow the current share from its effective date. Previously earned rewards and older paid rentals retain their saved share and terms; refunds use that saved share. This programme does not guarantee earnings.
Your customer’s referral credit
A new referred customer can receive 50% of Rentloop’s saved commission as a rental credit, capped at CAD10, per eligible checkout during the 12-month referral window. This is not 50% off the rental price. The owner’s agreed payout is unchanged. It excludes delivery, deposits and tax. The server applies the credit only where a conservative estimate leaves at least CAD2 after the partner reward, card processing, Stripe Tax, Connect account/payout costs and a messaging allowance. Preferred owner rates, small rentals and large charged deposits can make a rental ineligible. Eligibility and the exact credit are confirmed before payment. The credit can repeat on later eligible checkouts within the saved referral window. A multi-rental checkout shares one CAD10 cap. TEST rentals receive no credit. Refunded credits are not cash withdrawals. Partners are paid from the commission remaining after the credit. Shared verified contact information can be reviewed to prevent self-referral abuse.
Business accounts and the directory
Businesses and partners use one account and approval process. A business name, contact phone, private address and programme acceptance are required before new approval. After approval you receive a memorable code, signup link, QR code and printable poster. The optional directory shows only your business name, public storefront and selected city or neighbourhood centre. Your address and phone are not published on the map. You can opt out. Fictional example pins are labelled separately and never counted as real partners. Link and QR opens are approximate visits, not unique customers.
Refunds, claims, and adjustments
Pending rewards become available seven days after completion, subject to a clean payment and resolved support cases. Refunds, chargebacks, fraud, and ineligible transactions reduce or reverse rewards. Negative balances carry forward against future earnings, including after an earlier reward has been transferred.
Monthly settlement
Available balances are evaluated monthly with a CAD $10 minimum and an active eligible Canadian Stripe payout account. A transfer to Stripe is recorded separately from a bank payout. Stripe may request verification or delay payouts. Suspended partners cannot receive new settlements until reviewed.
Sharing your link
Make the referral relationship clear when promoting Rentloop. Use permission-based channels, avoid misleading claims, and share only the published conditional referral offer; do not promise guaranteed savings or availability. Rentloop may review abuse and suspend participation. Future programme changes apply prospectively and require an updated offer and terms version.
